Home Security Systems Planned Around Your House, Not a Template
A century home in Elora has different blind spots from a new build in south Guelph or a semi in Kitchener. During the free on-site assessment we walk the property with you and look at:
- sight lines and lighting after dark;
- where packages land;
- how people come and go.
Then we design coverage for the doors, yards and driveway that matter most, and send a clear written estimate within one business day.
Houses, Cottages and Rentals
- Owner-occupied homes: cameras, a monitored alarm and keyless entry working together.
- Rental units and basement apartments: separate access for tenants and owners.
- Cottages and seasonal properties: remote viewing plus leak and temperature alerts while you are away.
Home Security and Smart Home Services
Security Cameras
NDAA-compliant Uniview cameras placed to cover the driveway, front door, side yards and back entrances, with live view and playback on your phone.
Monitored Alarm Systems and 24/7 Monitoring
Ajax wireless alarms with door, motion, glass break, smoke and leak sensors, monitored 24/7 and armed from the Ajax app. We also install Qolsys panels.
Smart Home Automation
Josh.ai and its partner systems bring lighting, climate, shades, cameras and the alarm together under voice or app control.
Keyless Entry and Access Control
Akuvox or Hartmann Controls keypads, readers and app entry. Share access with family, cleaners or trades and take it back when the job is done. Works with compatible smart home systems.
Video Intercoms
Akuvox video intercoms, so you can see and speak with whoever is at the door from anywhere.
Home Networking
Lysora Technology routers, switches and access points with a wired backbone, so Wi-Fi reaches the whole house and garage and every camera stays online.
Golf Simulators
GolfIn and SimBooth simulators for the basement or garage, from enclosure and screen to projector and launch monitor. A licensed electrician is part of our own team.
We also support other systems. If you already have equipment, we will tell you honestly what can stay.

Josh, Tim and the team were great to work with! We had them install 3 cameras outside our home. Every step of the process was explained and installation was kept neat & tidy. From the quotation, installation, and follow-up support everyone we dealt with at JR was knowledgeable, courteous and willing to help. Highly recommend!!
