Golf Simulator Installation Services
With Guelph’s long winters cutting the outdoor golf season short, an indoor simulator is the ultimate way to keep your game sharp year-round. But a golf simulator installation is a precision room construction job first and an electronics setup second. A launch monitor, impact screen and projector only perform when the enclosure, lighting and cable infrastructure around them are engineered properly. That is exactly where we start.
We exclusively sell, install and support GolfIn and SimBooth golf simulators, designed by a Canadian company. As part of our full suite of JR Security solutions, our certified in-house technicians handle your build from the very first laser measurement to the final shot calibration.

Golf Simulator Installation That Starts With Your Room
A common mistake is measuring for the enclosure frame and completely ignoring the space needed for your swing arc. The required room is noticeably bigger than the frame sitting inside it. Here are the baseline figures we check your room against before any hardware gets ordered:
| What we measure | Typical figure | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Enclosure footprint | About 11 to 16 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet deep | The frame, walls, and screen take up this much floor. |
| Enclosure height | About 8 to 10.5 feet | Taller frames carry bigger screens. |
| Room width | About 15 to 16 feet | The frame has to go together and stand clear of the walls. |
| Room depth | About 22 to 25 feet | Your room should run about 10 feet deeper than the frame, so there is open floor behind the player. |
| Ceiling height | About 10 to 11 feet | The frame, the projector, and a full swing all need headroom. |
| Screen size | About 150 to 220 inches on the diagonal | Screen size follows the frame you have room for. |
None of these numbers are final. Each GolfIn and SimBooth model has its own requirements, so we treat the table as a starting point and check your room against the exact model you're considering.
Home Simulator Setups And Golf Centre Builds
Whether we're outfitting a basement or a garage, the job runs in the exact same order:
Site Visit & Measurement
We laser-measure your ceiling height, width, and depth, and map out exactly where the projector and computer will sit. If the GolfIn or SimBooth model you have in mind doesn't safely fit your room, we'll tell you straight away and suggest one that does. Pricing is provided after this visit, since the room dictates the work. If the room needs a new circuit or outlet for the PC or projector, we coordinate that with a licensed electrician.
Customizing the Build
You choose the wall padding, flooring colour, hitting mat, and whether you want a standard HD or 4K projector. We'll also help you decide whether to ceiling-mount the projector or attach it directly to the enclosure frame to avoid drilling holes in a finished ceiling.
Installation & Calibration
We assemble the enclosure and screen first, followed by safely mounting the overhead projector and launch monitor. Finally, we hook up the PC and meticulously calibrate the software so your shot data reads perfectly on day one. After that, we're your local team for support.
Commercial Golf Simulator Bays
A commercial golf simulator keeps your venue busy long after the local Guelph courses close for the winter. Golf clubs use them to bridge the off-season gap, while sports bars and dedicated indoor golf centres rely on them as a primary draw. But for a public bay to actually generate consistent income, the setup has to be planned carefully and built to last.
Maximizing Your Floor Plan
A single bay takes up the same footprint whether it's in a basement or a clubhouse. The real challenge on a commercial job is figuring out exactly how many bays you can fit without crowding your guests or compromising safety. Before you commit to a layout or order any equipment, we come out, measure the room, and give you a realistic bay count for your square footage.
Built for High Traffic
A public bay takes a beating. The hitting mat and enclosure panels you choose matter much more here than they do in a home setup. We help you select commercial-grade materials built for heavy daily volume. Let us know during the site visit if you plan to run automated booking software, so we can ensure the network and hardware are properly integrated from day one.
Protecting Your Hardware
Commercial bays house high-value equipment, including gaming computers, 4K laser projectors, and costly overhead camera sensors. Since we are already planning your layout, our team can bundle your simulator build with our premium security camera installation to protect your venue against theft, tampering, or equipment misuse after hours.
Launch Monitor Mounting And Calibration
What keeps a simulator honest is the launch monitor. The overhead kind hangs above the spot you hit from, and the high-speed cameras inside it catch the club and the ball at the instant they meet.
From a good unit you get club speed, club path, face angle, ball speed, launch angle, spin and carry distance. Seeing where a shot ended up is the easy part. Put those seven numbers next to each other, and you can work out why it went there too.
Where the unit sits decides how accurate it is. We mount GolfIn's IDRA II securely above the hitting zone, on the enclosure frame or the ceiling structure depending on the model and room, and the calibrating gets done while it's going in. It usually doesn't need calibrating again after that.
The IDRA II reads your own clubs and balls with no stickers or marked balls, and it works with GSPro or E6 Connect course software. That software runs on a capable gaming computer, so plan on an Intel and Nvidia RTX PC. We'll confirm the computer specs with you before anything is ordered.
SimBooth Kits Vs. Custom GolfIn Builds
Custom GolfIn Builds
GolfIn's custom golf simulators (the Compact, Surround, Select and Curve models) and the SimBooth 3 and SimBooth 4 enclosures are built for a permanent, professional install. They're ideal for unusual room shapes, high-end turnkey setups, and multi-bay commercial venues.
SimBooth Kits
A great option for standard-sized rooms. Assembling the base frame is doable for a handy owner, and our installers can take care of the overhead work: mounting the projector, securing the launch monitor, calibrating the software, and tidying the cabling.
| Feature | SimBooth Kits | Custom GolfIn Build Installed by JR Security |
|---|---|---|
| Best For | Standard-sized rooms, assembled by a handy owner or installed by our team | Unusual room shapes, high-end turnkey setups, and commercial bays |
| Sizing Flexibility | Set enclosure sizes made for common room dimensions | Compact, Surround, Select and Curve models, plus SimBooth 3 and SimBooth 4, matched to your ceiling height and room depth |
| Overhead Mounting | Owner-installed, or mounted by our team | Mounted securely to the enclosure frame or the ceiling structure, depending on the model and room |
| Cable Management | Neat, concealed low-voltage and data cabling when we install it | Neat, concealed low-voltage and data cabling (in-wall or raceway) |
| Calibration | Guided owner setup, or professional calibration by our team | Professional sensor calibration & trajectory verification |
We sell, install and support both, so you can start with a SimBooth Kit or go with a fully custom GolfIn build. Send us your room size, and we'll tell you which one fits.
We Sell, Install And Support GolfIn And SimBooth
JR Security Solutions is a partner and authorized reseller of GolfIn, a Canadian golf simulator company. GolfIn and SimBooth are the only golf simulator brands we sell, install and support. Through GolfIn, we supply and install their custom golf simulators (the Compact, Surround, Select and Curve models), the SimBooth 3 and SimBooth 4 enclosures, SimBooth Kits, and the IDRA II overhead launch monitor, which plays on GSPro or E6 Connect software.
Because we focus on these Canadian-made systems, our installers know every model inside and out, and you have one local team to call for service and support long after the install.
Frequently Asked Golf Simulator Questions
How much does it cost to have a golf simulator installed?
Every job gets priced after we've seen the room, since the work changes with the enclosure size, wiring needs, and overhead mounting. Book a site visit for an accurate quote. Beyond the simulator itself, it's worth budgeting for lighting, room décor, and any electrical work.
How much space do I need for a golf simulator?
For a room that will hold a full enclosure, we look for about 15 to 16 feet wide, 22 to 25 feet deep, and 10 to 11 feet high. The enclosure itself fills less than that. What's left over is for swinging, and there has to be open floor behind whoever is hitting. The figures shift from one model to the next. Tell us which GolfIn or SimBooth model you're considering, send your measurements, and we'll check your room against it.
How long does it take to install a golf simulator?
Once the hardware is on-site and we've mapped the room, a clear timeline will be included with your quote.
Which golf simulator brands do you sell and install?
We exclusively sell, install and support GolfIn and SimBooth golf simulators from Canada. That includes GolfIn's Compact, Surround, Select and Curve models, the SimBooth 3 and SimBooth 4 enclosures, SimBooth Kits, and the IDRA II overhead launch monitor.
Can I install a SimBooth Kit myself?
You can. Assembling the base enclosure is doable for a handy owner, but bringing in a professional at any stage takes the headache out of a DIY build. Even if you build the frame, we highly recommend letting our installers handle the overhead work: safely mounting the projector, securing the launch monitor, and calibrating the software.
Will the projector have to be mounted on my ceiling?
Not always. On some enclosures, the projector sits on a beam fixed to the frame, and that keeps holes out of a finished ceiling. Let us know at the site visit which you'd prefer.
Who does the installation work in my home?
Our own in-house team performs the install, and every installer sent to your property is fully insured, certified, and background-checked. Explore our full range of residential and commercial capabilities across our main services directory.
