Josh Nano, the microphone you won’t notice. Josh.ai calls Nano an architectural microphone. It is about 4 cm square and 3 mm deep, comes in white or black, and can be hidden under a custom painted cover. It speaks back through the home’s own sound system, and a disconnect switch turns its microphones off completely. In a restored Galt living room, that means voice control with nothing new on the mantel.
Josh Core, the processor. Nano systems run on Josh Core, which connects to your home network, powers over Ethernet and, according to Josh.ai, supports up to 500 controllable devices and up to 100 microphones. It does device control locally, so day-to-day commands don’t depend on a distant server. Smaller homes can use the compact Josh One instead.
Everything else in the lineup. We install every Josh.ai product: tabletop Josh Micro units, the Josh Touchscreen for a hallway or kitchen wall, and the Josh Edge remote for the media room.
A proper network underneath. Josh.ai specifies an enterprise-grade network for its processors. Networking is one of our services, so the Wi-Fi and cabling get planned with the automation rather than as an afterthought.
